The problem

Most groomers cage your dog all day.

Then wonder why your dog dreads the next visit. The average Phoenix grooming day is four hours in a kennel: small room, loud dryer, other dogs whining nearby. Your dog goes in nervous, comes out wound up.

Here, dogs hang out together between turns. Bath, dry, trim, then back to play until you arrive. They show up nervous on day one. By visit three they're pulling toward the door.

For the dog you actually have

We work with the dog in front of us.

Anxious dogs

We've groomed plenty of nervous rescues. They get the slow lane: no rushing, no restraints, breaks when they need them.

Senior dogs

Older dogs get the bench instead of the standing table, and breaks between sections. We work around arthritis, vision loss, and mobility limits.

First haircut

Puppies start with a bath-only to get used to the room and the people. The cut comes after they're settled.

Doodles + poodles

Our regulars. We know the breed-specific shapes, the de-matting timing, and how to keep those ears clean.

Heavy shedders

De-shed treatment, undercoat rake, full blow-out, deep brush. Less hair on your couch for weeks.

Cats

Yes, cats. Lion cut, sanitary trim, baths. Same gentle approach as the dogs, with extra patience.

Common questions

What people usually ask.

Still wondering something? Call or text us.

Why no cages?
Because dogs do better when they're not in cages. The shop and the dog run are open spaces where dogs can hang out between their bath, dry, and trim. Less stress for them, calmer pickups for you.
How long does a visit take?
A bath runs about 3 to 4 hours. A full haircut runs 4 to 5. We text when your dog is ready so you can plan your day.
My dog is anxious or has been turned away elsewhere. Can you handle them?
Probably. We've worked with rescues, fear-biters, and dogs that didn't do well in cage-based settings. Tell us what's going on at drop-off and we'll go at their pace. If we can't safely groom them on the first visit, we'll let you know in person, not at pickup.
Do you really do cats?
Yes. Lion cuts, sanitary trims, baths. We groom cats with the same gentle approach as dogs, with extra patience for the wrigglers.
Do you have a minimum age for puppies?
We start puppies at 12 weeks (after their second round of vaccines). First visit is usually a bath-only to get them used to the place. Cuts come once they have settled.
What about medical needs or sedation?
Tell us at drop-off. We don't sedate, but we can work around recent vet sedation, skin conditions, hot spots, allergies, or anything else that affects how your dog handles handling.
Appointments or walk-ins?
Appointments fill up fast, especially weekends. Walk-ins welcome when a groomer is open. Calling the day before is your best shot.
Do you sell food and supplies?
Yes. We carry Open Farm food, treats, shampoos we use in-shop, and the brushes worth the money. Stop in even if you are not getting a groom.
